Convergent’s low cost development centre in Singapore was originally setup in early 2007 on behalf of one of our main clients, Credit Suisse, who challenged us to meet their targets for offshoring development work across a number of IT projects. Today Convergent provides offshore development and maintenance services for Credit Suisse, HBK, IKEA and other clients. We remain one of only four companies providing offshore IT resources to Credit Suisse.

The offshore development centre in Singapore is  managed by Chase London, Director of Operations, Asia Pacific. Chase's previous background as a Development Manager at a leading hedge fund in the USA  and working as one of the top PeopleSoft ERP consultants in Europe, provides  an excellent basis for managing development operations in Singapore and ensuring the development teams  work closely with our clients in Europe and the USA.

As well as providing remote development and maintenance services in Singapore, Convergent provides an “onshore-offshore “ model where consultants and developers from our Singapore office work on projects onsite at the client.  Convergent manages the visa and relocation process for our consultants for the duration of the project or assignment.  This not only enables us to offer our clients more competitive rates than resourcing from our UK or Swiss offices, but also ensures our offshore developers gain first-hand experience and closer working relationships with our clients.
